Statistics tell us that fat cattle, when harvested, on average, yield 60% with 1% Grading Prime,
and 12% making the Certified Angus Beef grade.
On 270 Steers sired predominantly by BENCHMARK BULLS harvested summer
2006 at Tyson in the U.S., 4% Graded Prime with 34% making the Certified
Angus Beef grade while yielding 61.22%.
On 85 Steers sired predominantly by BENCHMARK BULLS harvested summer
2006 at Tyson in the U.S., 4% Graded Prime with 21% making the Certified
Angus Beef grade while yielding 61.88%.
On 51 Steers sired predominantly by BENCHMARK BULLS harvested at
a Canadian plant summer 2006, 65% Graded AAA while 35% Graded AA.
Last year the total number of cattle harvested in Canadian plants only 42.5% graded AAA.
And most important, while most 2005 calves lost between $40 and $110 per head
these calves returned a $32 profit per animal.
Do your cattle make the grade???
Do your cattle turn a profit???
Be sure your cattle measure up...
USE A BENCHMARK BULL!!!
