Well it is with great excitement that we start the Diary Page. This will update everyone on the goings on here at Benchmark Angus. So check back each month and you'll see pictures, stories and all the happenings here at the ranch and wherever our travels take us.
August was a very exciting month, it found me (Mike) make a trip to Brazil. I have included some pictures from the trip. And I certainly have many many more. I arrived in Sao Paulo Brazil on the 19th of August and travelled up into the Amazon, the ranching up there is amazing, stocking rates are what we could only dream of. In there wet season they are grazing 10 cows per one acre!!!!! The grass grows literally 6-8 feet tall. I had a wonderful tour of Bela Vista which is a wonderful ideal for the ranching industry in Brazil. A great group of Nelore mother cows, and crossbreeding becomes a bigger part of there program every year.
